What We Do

Florida High School Democrats (FLHSD) is a statewide political organization that serves as an entry point to politics for students. Our members work at the local and state level to advance the ideals of the Democratic Party, engage fellow students to become active within the American political system, and elect Democratic candidates to public office.

WHAT WE DO

GRASSROOTS

FLHSD organizes student activists in local and statewide campaigns. We coordinate phone-banking, canvassing, and voter outreach initiatives to support progressive candidates. By creating opportunities to get involved, we empower members to advance Democratic values across Florida.

LEGISLATIVE

WHAT WE DO

FLHSD advocates for progressive change by organizing lobbying events and drafting letters to elected officials on critical issues. We travel to the Florida Capitol for advocacy days, and closely monitor the legislation being debated during the 60-day legislative session.

WHAT WE DO

OUTREACH

FLHSD reaches out to student across the state to establish community chapters, while educating voters on critical issues up and down the ballot. From speaker events, organizing workshops, to voter registration drives, FLHSD empowers student voices across the Sunshine State.
